Industries / Manufacturing & Distribution

If time is money, let’s make sure you’re maximizing both.

Manufacturers and distributors constantly face challenging restrictions that can make or break their business. However, there are extremely profitable, but often overlooked, opportunities that can be taken advantage of. Our team offers clients years of successful experience and knowledge in manufacturing accounting services that result in maximizing profitability and avoiding unnecessary risks.

The companies operating in the Manufacturing and Distribution sectors face a multitude of issues (operational, regulatory, technological), which can require specialized accounting, tax and advisory expertise. Our experience with small to large, local to international organizations has provided us the background and knowledge to offer solutions to the challenges and assist them to expand on the opportunities that face the industry. We invest ourselves in our client’s business and advise as if it were our own.

How our services are applied to manufacturing and distribution

Financial Reporting & Assurance
  • Audits or reviews for outside credit providers (i.e. Banks), Board of Directors (i.e. audit committee) and/or Shareholder of Member Operating Agreements.

Tax
  • Businesses often have operations in numerous states and outside of the U.S., requiring additional tax and compliance filings. We have prepared filings for activities in all U.S. states as well as for foreign governments.
  • Other specialized tax services that can benefit these entities include studies for Research & Development (R&D) tax credit related to improving a business’ product or production process, cost segregation related to facility acquisitions or improvements and the domestic production activities deduction.
Outsourced Accounting Services
  • Assist with monthly financial statements, check writing, account reconciliation, payroll and sales tax filings. Our team can serve as your back office without having to take on unnecessary costs.
  • Serve as an interim CFO or other supporting accounting personnel for staff transition within an organization.
Forensic Accounting, Litigation and Valuation Services
  • Help you understand the value of your businesses

  • Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions

  • Assist in planning for the transition of ownership to the next generation through sale or estate planning

IT
  • Our IT department can manage the computer, phone and other technology needs, including the design and implementation of facility improvements in these areas (i.e. wiring, equipment procurement/setup/training).

The group at Wilkins Miller is the best. They are always positive, constantly thinking a step ahead and in tune with their customer’s needs. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can count on their guidance and advice.
