Michael Kintz Appointed to Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy

Kintz, CPA, a partner with the firm, has been appointed by Governor Kay Ivey to the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy. Kintz’ appointment was confirmed May 2, 2019 in Montgomery by the Alabama Senate.
The Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy supervises “the practice of public accountancy by Certified Public Accountants and Public Accountants in Alabama.” The board is responsible for controlling certificates and permits to practice as well as making and publishing regulations pertaining to the conduct of Certified Public Accountants and Public Accountants.
Kintz earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Computer Information Systems from Spring Hill College. His responsibilities primarily include financial reporting and assurance, consulting in the outsourced accounting services area and personnel recruiting for the firm. His industry experience encompasses professional service firms, employee benefit plans, non-profit organizations, dealerships, municipalities and governmental agencies, and technology companies.
