Jake Foster

Where are you from? Santa Rosa Beach, Florida
College and year in school: Spring Hill College – Senior
What led you to public accounting? My family involvement in the public accounting field is what led me to pursue this field.
What are you most excited to do/learn during your internship? I am most excited to get to hands-on-work with returns and helping people with their taxes.
Favorite thing to do on a day off: Go golfing
What’s an interesting fact about you? I can play the alto saxophone.
What would you rate 10/10? Chic-Fil-A’s chicken sandwich
What’s your favorite TV show to binge? It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

MaryKate Howard

Where are you from? Calvert, Alabama
College and year in school: University of Mobile – Senior
What led you to public accounting? The ability to have a variety of clients led me to public accounting. There is no specific type of client that I’d work with, so it allows me to gain knowledge and experience in various industries. Also, the different roles that an accountant can pursue have expanded which brings more areas for growth.
What are you most excited to do/learn during your internship at Wilkins Miller? I am excited to be able to see accounting in practice rather than thousands of lecture notes.
Favorite thing to do on a day off: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family either having a lazy day at home or a day out enjoying the rapidly changing Alabama weather. However, my current off days are mainly spent doing homework as I approach graduation.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I’ve never had a favorite color. As soon as I make a choice, I think of things that I love that are a different color.
What would you rate 10/10? Any type of pasta
What’s your favorite TV show to binge? I am currently binge watching “The OA” but “The 100” is my go to.

Alison Bunch

Where are you from? Mobile, AL
College and year in school: I attended Huntingdon College and received my bachelors in Business Management. Currently, I am at the University of South Alabama taking the necessary credit hours for the CPA exam.
What led you to public accounting? My last job exposed me to a lot of internal, private accounting which led me to wanting to explore the public accounting industry.
What are you most excited to do/learn during your internship at Wilkins Miller? I am excited to have hands-on training and expose myself to real world accounting.
Favorite thing to do on a day off: Spend time with my husband hiking, golfing, or exploring new places.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I was homeschooled for high school.
What would you rate 10/10? Hiking in Alaska
What’s your favorite TV show to binge? The Office

Kaden Kramer

Where are you from? I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and I moved to Mobile in middle school. I still spend a lot of time in Louisiana with our extended family living there still.
College and year in school: Auburn University – Senior. I have had such a great college experience, so it is sad to be graduating in May. War Eagle!
What led you to public accounting? I chose to go into public accounting as I knew it would allow me to work with different types of clients and the opportunity to learn about other industries.
What are you most excited to do/learn during your internship? I am most excited to start putting together tax returns and applying what I have learned in my coursework. I am also looking forward to meeting new people.
Favorite thing to do on a day off: On a day off, I make sure to exercise, and I try to go out to dinner with family or friends.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I drink Diet Coke religiously; I could not live without it.
What would you rate 10/10? Mexican Food! I eat a Mexican-style meal at least twice a week.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge? I am a big fan of anything on HBO Max; I recently finished Succession.
