As a partner of Wilkins Miller, Pat Bessonen has worked in public accounting since 1983.

Lucas joined the firm as an intern in 2020. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of South Alabama, he was brought on as a staff accountant. He was promoted to senior associate in 2022.

Lucas joined the firm as an intern in 2020. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of South Alabama, he was brought on as a staff accountant. He was promoted to senior associate in 2022.
Lucas enjoys board games, being outside, and sports of all kinds, especially baseball and disc golf. He also likes volunteering with the Mobile Animal Shelter and Door to Serenity, and bowling with the Special Needs Athletic Program (SNAP).

Hayley Carlton joined the Wilkins Miller team in 2016 as a student administrative assistant. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of South Alabama in 2018, she joined the firm full time as the marketing assistant. She was promoted to operations coordinator in 2023.
She is an active member of the Mobile Baykeeper's Young Advisory Council and a board member of Impact100 Mobile.

Allen Carroll first joined the firm in 1987 when it was formerly Pannell Kerr Forster and now serves as its Managing Partner. Allen’s experience is vast ranging from litigation and consulting services to traditional tax and accounting services in a variety of industries. Allen routinely works with attorneys and their clients as a damages expert and forensic accountant related to commercial disputes and civil and criminal litigation. He is experienced in all phases of the litigation process and has testified in federal and state courts and in arbitration hearings at the request of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Allen has served as an expert witness and consulting expert in a variety of matters and has led many engagements including determining economic damages, lost profits, accounting malpractice cases where he evaluated CPA professional standards, white-collar criminal matters, forensic investigations, intellectual property damages, bankruptcy, and business valuations.
He has participated in several high-profile matters including serving as expert for Plaintiffs’ Class Counsel in the Singing River Health Systems Pension Litigation that resulted in a $149,950,000 settlement and the BP Oil Spill Multi-District Litigation, professional malpractice related to a big four accounting firm, several criminal matters including the owner of one of the largest automobile dealerships in the U.S. and the owners of a large specialty pharmacy. Allen led a team that evaluated several thousand business claims, for counsel, under the BP Oil Spill Settlement Agreement. Allen and his team led the training and education of numerous CPA firms throughout the southeast in calculating damages under the BP Settlement Agreement.
Allen has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (concentration in accounting) from the University of South Alabama. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Association of International CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. Allen is Accredited in Business Valuation and been designated as Certified in Financial Forensics by the Association of International CPAs. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
Allen has been involved with several civic activities in the community. In May of 2019, Allen was appointed by Governor Kay Ivey to the Alabama Securities Commission. He is on the University of South Alabama Foundation and the Executive Advisory Council for the Mitchell College of Business (MCOB) and is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2018, Allen was named as a Mitchell College of Business IMPACT member, one of fifty (50) MCOB alumni recognized as a part of the University’s 50th Anniversary. He has served St. Luke’s Episcopal School as both Chairman and Treasurer for the Board of Trustees. Allen was a member of the National Board of Directors for Distinguished Young Women (formerly known as America’s Junior Miss). He was involved with the Mobile and Baldwin Counties Community of Concern Advisory Committee. Allen has been a committee member of the Mobile Chapter of Young Certified Public Accountants and has served on the Accounting Advisory Board for the University of South Alabama. He has also been an instructor for continuing education programs for the Mobile Chapter of Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and has been involved with leading other continuing education programs as well.
Allen enjoys spending time on Dauphin Island with his family. He loves aviation, boating and motorcycles.

Karah Champion joined Wilkins Miller in 2013, as a student administrative assistant. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Alabama in 2015, she joined the firm full time as part of the Administrative team. Karah moved to Arizona in 2020 where she continues to work remotely within our Outsourced Accounting Services department providing bookkeeping and payroll services to our clients.
In her spare time, Karah enjoys spending time with her friends and family and relaxing at her family’s cabin in the mountains of northern Arizona.

Karah Champion joined Wilkins Miller in 2013, as a student administrative assistant. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Alabama in 2015, she joined the firm full time as part of the Administrative team. Karah moved to Arizona in 2020 where she continues to work remotely within our Outsourced Accounting Services department providing bookkeeping and payroll services to our clients.
In her spare time, Karah enjoys spending time with her friends and family and relaxing at her family’s cabin in the mountains of northern Arizona.

Morgan Cooper joined the Wilkins Miller team in 2015 as the marketing coordinator and was promoted to marketing director in 2019. After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Morgan worked in non-profit marketing and development.
Morgan and her husband, two daughters, and dogs, reside in Fairhope. She enjoys attending Auburn Football games, reading, crafting and spending time with her family.

Morgan Cooper joined the Wilkins Miller team in 2015 as the marketing coordinator and was promoted to marketing director in 2019. After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Morgan worked in non-profit marketing and development.
Morgan and her husband, two daughters, and dogs, reside in Fairhope. She enjoys attending Auburn Football games, reading, crafting and spending time with her family.
Laura first joined the Wilkins Miller team in 2022 as a student administrative assistant. While earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of South Alabama, Laura completed an internship with our firm and, in 2023, was brought on as a full-time associate.

Laura first joined the Wilkins Miller team in 2022 as a student administrative assistant. While earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of South Alabama, Laura completed an internship with our firm and, in 2023, was brought on as a full-time associate.

With experience in mergers and acquisitions engagements, litigation engagements, business valuation engagements, as well as succession and family business planning, Page is a teacher and lecturer on the accounting industry and tax topics often related to the real estate industry as well as forensic accounting and fraud.
Page is a member of the Association of International Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was the President of the 59th Annual Alabama Federal Tax Clinic, Vice President of the 58th Annual Alabama Federal Tax Clinic and served on the board of directors of the University of South Alabama, Mitchell College of Business, Center for Real Estate & Economic Development (CREED) Advisory Board. Page served on the board of directors of the Ascension Health Alabama Health Ministry, Providence Health System, Providence Hospital, Providence Hospital Audit Committee, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama, and Alabama Opportunity Scholarship Fund. As well as an appointed member for the City of Mobile, Citizens Budget & Finance Advisory Board, City of Mobile, Ad Hoc Committee for City Revenue & Growth Analysis, City of Mobile Mayor’s Financial Advisory Committee and an associate member of the Certified Commercial Investment.
Savannah joined the team as an associate in 2022 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and minor in management and Spanish from the University of South Alabama.

Micah works with numerous organizations in an outsourced CFO role, and has significant experience assisting with accounting and reporting associated with tax-exempt bond financings for real estate developments.

Jing Yu brings over twenty years of experience in public accounting to the Wilkins Miller team, and focuses on the review of various business entities, taxation of corporations, partnerships and individuals, as well as accounting services that include license renewals, business personal property tax returns, and QuickBooks support. She was promoted to manager in 2020.
In 1996, Jing received the Award in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles, after earning a Master's of Art in Educational Administration from New Mexico Highlands University. Partner emeritus Frank Brown joined the firm in 1981 when the office was Pannell Kerr Forster. He became a shareholder of Wilkins Miller, P.C. in 1991, with a concentration in financial consulting, income and estate tax planning, general business consulting and auditing. In 1977, Frank earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Auburn University at Montgomery. As a former partner, Frank continues to consult with the firm and with clients regarding various projects.
As a member of the Association of International Certified Public Accountants and Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, he has served as a national instructor for Pannell Kerr Forster education programs, an author for education courses explaining tax law changes and a lecturer on tax planning strategies for high income individuals.
Frank’s memberships have included the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama, Inc., Mobile Christian School, the John W. Laidlaw Foundation and the Mobile Estate Planning Council. Frank enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, inshore fishing, and boating on Rabbit Creek.

Ken served as the Partner-in-Charge of CBH's Mobile office for over ten years and was a member of the firm's estate & gift tax committee and tax committee.
With extensive experience with working with closely held businesses in consulting and planning for minimizing income and estate taxes and business succession planning, Ken specializes in tax and accounting services for forestry related entities, estate & gift tax planning, manufacturers, and closely held businesses.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1969, Ken went on to serve as a Lieutenant in the United States Army in Okinawa as an Air Defense Missile Officer.
He is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, Estate Planning Council of Mobile, a former president of Kiwanis Club of Bel Air and a former board president of the Mobile Association for the Blind.
Ken enjoys playing tennis, spending time with family and grandchildren, cooking outdoors, and going to the Gulf Coast beaches. He is active in his church where he serves as a deacon and is on various committees.
