Background & Experience

  • Has more than thirty years of progressive accounting, audit, and tax experience
  • Began his accounting career with a local Mobile CPA firm in 1971 and became a partner in 1977
  • Joined Wilkins Miller when the firm acquired the Mobile-based accounting practice of Cherry Bekaert & Holland (CBH), a large regional accounting and consulting firm. Served as the Partner-in-Charge of CBH's Mobile office for over ten years. While with CBH, he was a member of the firm's estate & gift tax committee and tax committee
  • Areas of special concentration include tax, accounting, and audit services for forestry related entities, estate & gift tax planning, non-profits, manufacturers, employee benefit plans, and closely held businesses
  • Extensive experience working with closely held businesses in consulting and planning for minimizing income and estate taxes and business succession planning
  • A native of Mobile
  • After college, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Okinawa as an Air Defense Missile Officer

  • Ken enjoys playing tennis and golf, spending time with family and grandchildren, cooking outdoors, and going to the Gulf Coast beaches.  He is active in his church where he serves as a deacon and on various committees.
